Grow Daddy-o!

From quilt

The boy went for his 18 month well-check today and he's well. Check.
Here are the stats:

Head - Our Texas charmer ranks in the 50-75th percentile for cranial excellence. Nice melon, my boy!

Weight - Our little Marvelous Marvin Hagler is scrappy and cunning, provocable and erratic. Just what you'd expect from 25 pounds of pure toddler. He ranks in the 25-50th percentile. He's long, lean and full of steam.

Height - If you were betting on short n' sweet you'd be so wrong. At 33 5/8" he's like a stalk of Iowa gold in the summer sun, all ears. He's broken through the short statured ceiling and is now looming about like Woodstock in the Macy's parade from the 75-90th percentile. Why just look at how he towers over our puny dump trucks!

Shots - Two! One in each leg! And did he cry? Not even a whimper... Did I cry? Oh yes I did.

i can't even take her for her shots - cam does it because i cried terribly the first time and probably was more trauma for her to see and sense me so upset than the shots themselves...

by the way, i like my greens very simple - sauteed in oil with loads of fresh garlic, a splash of tamari, sometimes a splash of apple cider vinegar or balsamic or fresh lemon juice if i have any, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds (with a splash of toasted sesame seed oil at the end)... depending on the green i'll sprinkle in some water and let it steam to soften... but i hate them 'boiled to death' as they do in NC... i like them to still retain a little dark fresh green color...

I tried a lightly sauteed mix of kale and spinach tonight with garlic, sesame oil and seeds and it was wonderful. I never think of using sesame - thank you!
