Kris had a set of Tinker Toys as a kid and loved them to pieces so we thought a set for Augie might be fun. Here they are together building a crane. I had no idea tinker toys could even do these kinds of things. We were both thinking of trying to find more opportunities for him to explore mechanical things - simple gears, levers etc. Any ideas?
In other mechanical news our vacuum cleaner quit sucking yesterday so Kris and Augie got to open it up and take a peak to see if they could fix it. After Augie unscrewed the screws and explored the deep dark with a metal grasping claw, we found the problem - the mother of all hairballs. Ewwwww... Once it was removed that thing could suck the nails out of the floorboards. Awesome news for this mommy suffering from cedar allergies.
