Where'd you go?

Me? Us? Nowhere. Just hanging around. We've been taking in some local trails and buzzin' around town in our usual fashion. Nothing much going on but it sure as heck has been keeping us busy. Here are some photos of the last couple of hikes we've been on.

The rock shelf 'grotto' over in the Greenbelt. This trail was crazy craggy and rocky but oh how August LOVED climbing up the rocks. I nearly had a heart attack every time he seemed like he was losing his footing, although he proved to be much more nimble than I gave him credit for. The kid will fall out of bed but seems unphased by a rock ledge. Go figure...

This weekend we went out to Blum Creek to visit an old volcano (at least that's what the book said). Short hike, great trail and I got to wade through a running creek! It's been raining here for the past couple of days and boy did we need it! Everything was so crackly, dry and desperate for water. It was wonderful to actually hike around in woods that were wet!
