We went out to Independece Brewery yesterday for their 1st Saturday tasting and brew tour. Our friend recently became head brewer so went to check out his new set up. Justin is amazing by the way. He used to brew for Hales Ales in Seattle then went to Arcidosso, Italy to brew for a small company and now he's here. He knows beer (and he's also a great cook).

For five bucks you get an Independence pint glass (to keep), a few drink tickets, a tour and some crawfish (I think the crawfish are extra...). There were lots of babies, lots of dogs (oooohweee does Augie like dogs, he laughed his butt off when a golden retriever windshield wipered his face with his tail), and lots of sunshine. Everybody was lounging around in their camp chairs in the parking lot and having a good time listening to the band.
