In a nest made of twigs nestled in the crook of a pecan tree in our front yard, this lady bird sits on her eggs. She is surrounded by star jasmine and an abundant food supply and had been watching us paint all morning.
I just think she's the cutest thing, just sitting in her tree, waiting for her chicks to hatch. This is the same tree crook, by the way, that the squirrels love to flop over when the weather is hot. Apparently, it's pretty hot real estate.
