Zilker Zephyr

For four bucks you can ride the Zilker Zephyr, a sweet spring grass green mini train with wooden seats that loops along Barton Creek and Lady Bird Lake. The ride takes about 25 minutes, goes through two tunnels (well three if you count the return on one), under a jungle gym and back around to the concessions stand. I wasn't sure if Uncle Smokey, out train conductor, was really going to get us around and back again but since the cars haven't jumped the rails after all these years I thought we'd be OK. Gus got to practice his waving (everyone waves on a train!) and Kris and I got a chance to kick back and enjoy the park from a different angle.
