My ma was in town this past weekend, partly (mostly) to see the baby, partly to celebrate mother's day and partly to lend a hand while Kris was attending to his end-of-semester flogging (i.e. putting together is research proposal for his thesis, grading his TA class, studying for his upcoming exam this Saturday....ya know, the usual). The boy was appropriately stocked with new impressive tricks especially learned for her arrival:
- wave bye bye
- say shoes (shushz)
- give kisses
- dance (especially fun while watching Dancing with the Stars and eating Little People)
We of course showed her a good time by taking her to the Salt Lick for BBQ (biggest pit I've ever seen....and horseshoe-shaped too!), the nearby butterfly farm, the sand pit and playground and to Laguna Gloria to see the peacocks roaming in the garden. It was a very nice weekend and a perfect way to spend Mother's Day - with my ma.
